How Much Does Plumbing SEO Cost? What Each Price Range Actually Buys
Plumbing SEO cost depends on what the work includes: what low, middle and high quotes usually buy, the red flags in each, and our own published prices.

Plumbing SEO cost depends less on the monthly number and more on what gets delivered for it: which keywords, how many links and pages, what happens to your Google Business Profile, and whether you get a report showing the work. Quotes range from small monthly fees to large retainers, and the price by itself tells you very little. Our own packages run from $125 to $575 a month, month to month, and this post covers what to expect at any price, ours included.
What you're actually paying for
Before comparing quotes, it helps to know the parts. SEO for a plumbing company mostly falls into these buckets:
- Keyword research. Which searches bring calls in your towns: drain cleaning, water heater replacement, sewer line repair, "plumber near me," each paired with the places you serve.
- On-page work. Service pages, titles, headings, internal links and fixing technical problems on the site.
- Google Business Profile. Categories, services, photos, hours, and the ongoing job of keeping it accurate.
- Citations. Your business name, address and phone matching across directories.
- Links. Other websites pointing to yours, still a large part of how Google decides which sites to trust.
- Content. Posts and pages that answer what homeowners search before they call.
- Reporting. Proof of what was done and what changed.
Every quote covers some mix of these. The questions for any agency are which ones, how much of each, and how you'll see it.
Reading quotes at different price levels
Rather than quote market averages nobody can verify, here's a way to read what lands in your inbox. Take three made-up offers as examples.
The very low quote
Say someone offers "local SEO" for $49 a month with no list of what's included. Work at that kind of price tends to be automated: a directory blast, a generic monthly email, maybe some links from sites no homeowner will ever see. A low price can be honest if it's for a small, clearly defined service. The trouble starts when the quote doesn't say what you get at all.
Red flags at the low end:
- No written list of deliverables
- "Page one in 30 days" or any guaranteed ranking
- Reports full of charts but no URLs for the actual work
- A request to take over full ownership of your Google profile
The middle
Say a quote lands in the low hundreds a month and spells out the keywords, the links and the on-page work, with a report listing every link. That's a range where a small or mid-size plumbing shop can get real work done. The question becomes fit: do the keywords match your job mix, and do the towns match where your trucks actually go?
The high quote
Say a quote comes in at $3,000 a month. A retainer that size can make sense for a multi-location company in a big metro, especially if it bundles content writing, website development and ads management. It can also be the same work as a mid-range package with more meetings on the calendar.
Red flags at the high end:
- A 12-month contract with no way out before the term ends
- Most of the fee labeled "strategy" or "management," with few deliverables you can see
- The agency owning your website, domain or Google profile
- Rankings promised by a certain date
At every level, the honest answer about results is the same. They usually build over months and depend on how competitive your market is. Anyone promising a specific position or a call count is either guessing or selling.
Our published prices
We publish prices because hiding them wastes everybody's time. Every plan is month to month, you can cancel anytime, and each month you get a report listing every live URL, the page it points to and the anchor text used.
| Plan | Per month | Keywords | Guest posts (DA 20+) | Web 2.0 posts (DA 50+) | Also includes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silver | $125 | 10 | 10 | 10 | Turnaround 10-12 days |
| Golden | $235 | 20 | 20 | 20 | In-depth research, premium indexing, on-page audit, content gap analysis |
| Platinum | $325 | 40 | 30 | 30 | 2 domains, competitor spy report |
| Titanium | $575 | 100 | 50 | 50 | 4 domains, toxic link check |
Each plan also comes as a one-time version: $140, $260, $380 and $620. A one-time package can make sense for getting a new site or a new service page started before deciding on monthly work.
Content writing is priced on its own if you want posts written for your blog. For example, a monthly plan of 4 posts at 1,000 words is $44, and 8 posts at 1,000 words is $80. Website design starts at $400, one time, quoted per project.
Matching a plan to a plumbing shop
A rough guide, based on how many job types and towns you want to go after:
- Silver suits a one or two truck shop working one town and a handful of core services.
- Golden suits a shop covering several towns with a full service list: drains, water heaters, sewer, repipes, leak detection.
- Platinum suits a company running a second brand or second site, or one competing in a crowded metro where competitor research earns its place.
- Titanium suits a larger operation with several domains and a long keyword list.
What the work looked like for one client
Here's a real example from a neighboring trade. A local roofer in Florida ran the Golden package from March to September 2025. The work covered hyperlocal keywords (an emergency roof repair search plus a neighborhood name, for instance), a full Google Business Profile rebuild with geo-tagged photos, detailed services and Q&A, citation cleanup on Yelp, Angi and Houzz, a review-request process and local links. Over that stretch, qualified high-value leads rose 600%, organic traffic from local homeowners rose 400%, and the company reached the top spot in the Google Map Pack and page one for 15+ local service keywords. The Florida roofer case study has the full write-up. Roofing isn't plumbing, but the call pattern is close: a storm-damaged roof and a burst pipe both send homeowners to the Map Pack in a hurry.
Questions to ask before you sign anything
- Can I cancel without a penalty, and how much notice do you need?
- Will I see every link and page you build, with the URL?
- Who owns the website, domain and Google profile if we part ways?
- Which keywords and towns are you targeting, and why those?
- What do you need from my office each month?
Ask us the same questions. The answers should be short.
